Collages from the Geyser

First picture is mineral build ups from the geyser. all the water flows down into the Green river. One thing we read said it put 30 punds of salt into the river each time it goes off.
The second picture is the same mineral that builts up on dishes in the diswasher
There thisd is the flow area.

The fourth picture is of desert mountain sheep that live in this area.

CRYSTAL GEYSER

The geyser is just 10 miles south of the town of Green River, UT. We have been here 2 other times but the geyser never went off sso this time we decided to stay until it did go off. We got here about 10:30am and nothing was happening. Shortly afternoon the mud pot next to the geyser started making noise and at 2:30pm it blew really hig for the first time and for the next 5 hours the geyser would blow for about 5 mins. and the the mud pot would bubble for 5 mins. They went back and forth like that for 5 hours. What a sight to see. This is one of the largest cold water geysers. When we got up at 6:30 am it was active again but not much CO2 but alot more H2o. This is a Earthcache and the first cache I ever found is only about 500 ft away. Some girls came down the river on on rafts and canoes and they had a great time playing in the water.

We camped at Island in the sky at Canyonlands. I rode my bike from one interesting vista to the next. I would like to go back and visit the Needles and maize parts of Canyonlands

This lizard is the wildest thing we saw. We could go back and spend 3 weeks exploring. Such a beautiful place to be.

LAGO DE PATZCUARO

The town has mostly cobble stone streets with topes so we drive very slowly. One couple we know hit a tope last year in their motor home and broke the towe hitch off and also busted the frame on the motor home. We just drove up the east side of the lake this day to Tzintzuntzan.
