WALNUTS

This big walnut tree is in Jake's back yard. There is a green hull the size of a small tennis ball or over size golf ball. They are hard to walk. Jake said he had been shoveling them into the garage can so he could mowe the lawn. I stepped on the green hulls until they came off and stained my shoes. Then I washed them until my hands were stained brown. Idried them on card board and packed them for the trip home. We did sample afew and they were full of meat which didn't leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm thinking a batch of brownies would be great way to use the walnuts. But first I'll have to crack them.
